Keeping Guests Warm Throughout The Winter Months

Fire in glamping pod keeping guests warm during winter

Summer time sometimes lulls us into a false sense of security – it’s warm enough inside and the heating may not be used for weeks (even months) in vans, holidays homes, pods and glamping tents. But come the autumn and winter – when many owners and visitors would like to extend their use of parks – the temperature has got to be spot on for guests to want to return.

Here, we take a look at the different approaches to heating and some of the newest, most innovative heating and ventilation methods on the market.

The family owners of a Lake District holiday park are helping visitors to enjoy even greener stays in Cumbria following a new series of environmental initiatives.

Park Foot Caravan and Camping Park on the shores of Ullswater near Penrith in the Lake District says its latest steps will help further ensure that guests can enjoy their holidays with a clear conscience.

Measures taken include the construction from local stone of a new amenity building for campers which is kept warm with underfloor heating from the park's biomass boiler.

Park Foot has also increased its reliance on green energy with new solar panels on its recycling centre which will feed excess electricity into the national grid.

100-Year-Old Holiday Park Operator Is Raising Awareness of New Forest Notable Species

Holiday Park Caravan in New Forest

UK holiday park operator, Away Resorts, have created a beautiful resource about the wildlife found near their 100-year-old holiday park, Sandy Balls.  Situated in The New Forest, the guide also serves to raise awareness to remarkable species found in this area.

The resource allows visitors to learn more about the National Park’s wildlife, including rare birds, mammals, endangered insects and unique plants.

Away Resorts wanted to focus on their Sandy Balls Holiday Park in particular as it is celebrating its 100th birthday this year. They collected data and information from a number of official Hampshire sources, some dating back over 60 years.

Perrys Accountants

Perrys Accountants - Caravans by river

It is with no small modesty that Perrys can claim that they are probably the oldest professional firm of practicing UK accountants to be serving the Mobile Home and Holiday Parks industry, having been associated with the industry and its members for over 80 years.

Indeed, some of Perrys earliest caravan park operating clients were themselves instrumental in the formation of the first caravan trade organisation, The National Federation of Site Operators, (now The British Holiday and Home Parks Association) which Perrys are proud to have been associated with for all these years
