Compass Celebrations!

Binnacle was established in a unique, strategic alliance between BH&HPA and Rural & Commercial Holdings back in December 2018. The name Binnacle was chosen for the business because a binnacle supports and houses a ship’s compass.

Some six months later, it was celebrations all round on 26th of June, when the Compass team were able to finally and formally celebrate the re-birth of their Scheme.

The official Grand Opening of the airy new Binnacle/Compass offices took place in Pullman Court in Gloucester, which is also home to the British Holiday and Home Parks Association (BH&HPA).

Invited guests were welcomed by both the Compass and BH&HPA teams for a champagne lunch and a blue ribbon was cut to mark the occasion.

The Compass team is complete!

On Monday 3rd June 2019, Compass was delighted to welcome the final 10 members of their team to their office in Gloucester, following the completion of the business’ transfer from Thistle Insurance Services Ltd to Binnacle Insurance.

It has been some six months since the full team has been together and there were happy celebrations all round as the friends and colleagues were reunited under one roof.

Binnacle now has total control over all current and run-off insurance transactions. All customer communications will now come from the familiar and dedicated Compass team.

The business has been complimented by new, talented individuals and significant investment in IT. A delighted Tim Smyth, CEO of Binnacle, commented:
